The scheme “Startup India Seed Fund Scheme (SISFS)” was launched by the DPIIT on 19th April 2021 with an outlay of INR 945 Crore to provide financial assistance to startups for Proof of Concept, prototype development, product trials, market-entry, and commercialization.

How much of this fund has actually been disbursed
DPIIT approves an amount for each incubator under this scheme, and the incubator then passes it to startups as grants and convertible debt. Both figures are public, but separately. Indian Startup Map puts them side by side: roughly Rs 755 crore approved against Rs 526 crore disbursed across 175 incubators, with the approved and disbursed amount for every incubator on the list.
